Before you hold a car

How hourly work actually works

Booking a car for an evening is a different thing from booking a ride. These are the questions that come up first.

What is the difference between hourly and a single trip?

A single trip is one pickup and one drop, priced as a job. Hourly means the vehicle and the chauffeur are yours for the block of time, and they stay with you between stops rather than leaving and being re-summoned. Dinner, a show and the drive home is one booking rather than three.

How is hourly service charged?

By the hour, from the time the car is due to collect you until the time it drops you back, with a minimum booking length. Tell us the evening you have in mind and the exact figures come back in writing before you commit to anything, so there is nothing to work out afterwards.

Can I change the plan while we are out?

Yes, and most people do. That is the point of holding a car. Add a stop, skip one, stay somewhere longer than intended. Your chauffeur works around it. If the night runs past the hours you booked, tell them and we extend rather than leaving you stranded at closing time.

Does the chauffeur wait, or leave and come back?

They wait. On an hourly booking the car stays with you, parked nearby and reachable by text, so there is no gap between deciding to leave and having somewhere to sit. That is the part rideshare structurally cannot do.

How far ahead do I need to book?

The online form opens at twenty four hours ahead and will not take a trip inside that window. That is a limit of the form rather than of the company, so call if you are closer than that. For a Saturday evening in season, further ahead is better, because the fleet is small and it does get held.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Tell us as early as you can and it is straightforward. There is a cancellation window, which is confirmed in writing with your booking rather than buried in a terms page, so you know where you stand before you agree to anything.

Where in Orange County do you go?

All of it, coast to South County to the north end, and out of the county as well. Los Angeles County and most of the Inland Empire are regular work, and longer runs down to San Diego are booked often enough that they are routine.
