There is a great deal to arrange in a short time, and most of it falls to the people least able to take it on. Transport is one part that can be handed over completely. We take care of getting your family and your guests where they need to be, quietly and on time, so nobody is following directions or watching a clock on the day.
We collect immediate family from home and bring them to the service, then on to the graveside or the reception afterwards, and home again at the end of the day. Guests travelling from hotels or from out of the area are handled on the same schedule. Where a family is spread across several addresses, multiple pickups are built into the plan in advance so no one is left arranging lifts on the morning itself.
We serve funeral homes, chapels, churches, temples and cemeteries throughout Los Angeles County and Orange County, including Forest Lawn, Rose Hills, Inglewood Park, Hillside Memorial Park, Fairhaven, Pacific View, Ascension and Holy Sepulcher. Many of these grounds are large, with processions, timed committals and specific gate access. Our chauffeurs confirm the route, the entrance and the timing with the funeral director beforehand, so the day is not held up at a gate.
Where the service includes a procession, we work to the funeral director's order and instructions rather than our own. Vehicles are staged before the service ends, so the family steps out and the car is there. Timing on these days is often uncertain, and the booking allows for that. We wait; you are never hurried.
Family flying in for a service can be met at LAX, John Wayne, Hollywood Burbank, Long Beach or Ontario, with flights monitored so a delay changes the pickup and nothing else. Airport arrivals, the service itself and the return journey can all be arranged as one booking, which is one fewer thing for someone to organise from a distance.
Our chauffeurs are employed professionals, and on these bookings the job is largely to be unobtrusive. They arrive early and properly presented, hold doors, offer a hand where it is needed, and otherwise stay quiet. The vehicle is a private space for the people inside it, not a place where conversation is expected.
Full size SUVs carry a family group of up to six together, which most families prefer to arriving separately, and the step in height suits older relatives better than a low seat. Executive sedans suit smaller parties. For larger families we run several vehicles on one schedule so everyone arrives at the same time.
These arrangements are rarely made far ahead. Call us with the date, the times and the addresses and we will confirm what we can cover straight away. If you are working with a funeral director, they are welcome to arrange the transport with us directly on your behalf, and often that is the simplest route.
Rates are quoted and fixed before the day, so the cost is settled once and does not need thinking about again. Waiting time is included rather than added afterwards.
